Twitter Transfer Tittle-Tattle: Boateng, Vidal, et Pavard

It is hard to imagine with life would be like without Twitter. Especially when it comes to transfer gossip and the usual preseason tittle-tattle. Usually, red rambling is serious stuff. But from time to time we can take a bit of a breather.

Boateng out, Pavard in. Or not.

We have all read the stories about VfB Stuttgart’s French World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard. Bayern want him, the Swabians want to keep him for another year, and that is about the size of it. If he is coming to Munich, it will be at the start of next season.

This makes perfect sense.

However, the story that is slowly breaking about Jérôme Boateng set to leave Bayern for PSG has set the Twitter tittle-tattlers into a new sideways spin.

This one is straight out of the Mesut Özil book of fairy tales. First up, even if we are to believe that such an “acceleration” agreement exists, it does not make sense. Boateng and Pavard are completely different types of player. Boa is a centre-back. The Frenchman is a right-back.

Bayern also have the resources ready to fill the void left by Boateng if he choose to head to Paris. Niklas Süle is already an established German international, and had been primed for the role anyway.

Of course, we have Kalle to scotch such rumours.

It was fun while it lasted, eh?

Vidal to Inter Milan

Meanwhile, the story about Arturo Vidal moving back to Serie A are sounding a little more concrete. There is been no official announcement from Bayern so far, but it does look like the Chilean is on his way to Internazionale on a loan to buy deal worth around €20-22m.

On the other hand, we get this. What gives?

Ah, Twitter. This is why we love you.

Confirmed medical or not, though, it does look as though the Warrior will be on his way out to some other place. The writing was on the wall as soon as Leon Goretzka arrived in Munich. It is a shame, as for all of the red card risk he carried, Vidal was just the sort of player you would want on your side in a scrap.
